Chapter 47 The Nelsons Were Shocked by His Change
The kindergarten dismissed quite early, and Cecelia picked up her son at around 3:30 pm. When we
got back to Nelson’s manor, it was almost 4 o’clock.
Getting out of the car after Cecelia, Maximus looked at the grand and imposing building and silently
applauded.
“Well, good. Our father’s family is quite wealthy. So Cece won’t have to help them!”
Together they walked towards the main house of Nelson’s mansion and met a ser vant carrying a
flower vase on the way. At the sight of the young master, the serv ant looked terrified, like a mouse
seeing a cat.
“Young Master Andres! Not this!!!!”
The ser vant held on to the large vase for fear that the boy would kick it to pieces!
Last month, Andres destroyed three large vases!
When he heard the ser vant call out to him, Maximus bowed to the şervant out of courtesy. Then he
followed his mother and walked forward.
Then the serv ant froze.
What did he just see?
The little demon, a.k.a. the Wrecker, bowed to him instead of kicking the vase?
‘Oh my go d! Am I dreaming?!’ The ser vant thought to himself.
Cecelia led Maximus into the main hall of the Nelson Mansion, and Gabriella was looking forward as
she heard that they had returned. “Cecelia, you’re back!”
Gabriella was smiling very happily. She had grown fond of this granddaughter-in-law, and Cynthia
came forward to greet them,
Cecelia, you’re back. Now we’re relieved. We were worried about you.”
“I’m sorry for worrying you guys.”
Cynthia looked over at her nephew and reached out to touch his head. Maximus didn’t duck away,
which surprised Cynthia. “Andres, you’re so good today! I can’t believe you let Auntie touch your head!”
Maximus co cked his head at the woman who called herself Auntie in front of him and thought, ‘So
you’re my father’s sister?”

“Andres, come over here to your great-grandmother!” Gabriella waved at Maximus.

Maximus had been told by Cecelia that the oldest person in the Nelson family was his father’s
grandmother, his great-grandmother. Maximus had never seen so many relatives. He walked over to
Gabriella and sat down next to her, looking at her curiously.
Gabriella finally got to hug her great-grandson. She couldn’t help but touch him and look at him, and
said joyfully, “This is wonderful! Andres has become much more docile since he was taken care of by
Cecelia. Cece, you’ve done a great job with this boy. On behalf of my family, thank you.’
“Madam, that’s what I should do.”
Renee, who was on the side, saw that Andres seemed to have become well-behaved and said the
same thing. “Andres, come to Grandma!”
Maximus had heard from Cecelia that this woman who called herself his grandmother was not his real
grandmother. Therefore, there was no need for him to listen to her.
Maximus didn’t listen to Renee. He didn’t go over, which made. Renee very embarrassed.
“Andres, come here! I’ll take you to see your father.”
Cecelia waved, and Maximus got out of Gabriella’s arms. As he was leaving, he even bowed to
Gabriella.
Gabriella was stunned and exclaimed, “Oh! This boy is so polite. today? He actually bowed to me!”
Cynthia just came to her senses, “Yes. Is something wrong with Andres?”
“What are you talking about?” Gabriella looked at her and corrected, “Something wrong? You should
work on your diction. And look how good the boy is now. Oh, our family has hope now.
Renee secretly rolled her eyes, In her opinion, Andres was just a b astard. How could he havé a bright
future?
The Nelson family could only be inherited by their own grandson!
Cecelia had just left with her son when Carlos walked in and hurriedly announced a piece of news.
“Madam Nelson! The Shawn family sent an invitation!”
“Oh? What is it?”
Renee remembered and said “Oh right Mother I forgot to tell you.

that Cami’s family is going to celebrate her nephew Hubert’s 6th birthday this evening. Mother, why
don’t you join us?”

“Hubert’s birthday? Why didn’t you tell us earlier? We had to prepare. birthday presents.”
Gabriella and Camelia’s grandmother, Madeline, had been very good friends when they were young,
and the friendship between the two families had lasted for generations. Since the Shawns had sent her
the invitation, how could she not go?
“We don’t need to prepare birthday gifts. Our attendance will be enough.
The Shawn family was hosting a birthday party for the younger children. If the Nelsons could be there,
it would be the greatest respect given to the Shawn family.
“We can’t go empty-handed.”
Gabriella said to Cynthia, “Cynthia, get the birthday presents ready. Buy some extra ones. We’ll all go
over later. Get Cecelia and Andres, and Kalvin and Barry. We’ll all go and have a good time.”
“Got it, Grandma. I will get presents ready. I’ll go shopping right now.”
Cynthia ran out joyfully.
Renee didn’t want Cecelia to go, but she couldn’t argue with Madam Nelson since she had made her
decision.
But tonight was about Hubert Shawn, not the three grandchildren of the Nelson family.
Everyone knew that Hubert was one of the smartest kids in Center City!
And before Cecelia could get far with Maximus, Cynthia caught up with them and said, “Cecelia, wait!”
“What’s up?” Cecelia asked.
“We’re going to Shawn’s residence for a birthday party tonight. My grandmother said you should take
Andres to the party too. I’m going to get the presents ready. We’ll meet in the lobby at 6 p.m., okay?” To
Shawn’s residence?
Then she could meet Captain Shawn.
She could ask him how the detective work was going. With that in mind, Cecelia nodded, “Okay.
Andres and I will go get changed. I’ll see you later.”

Leading her son toward the Aroma Villa, Cecelia received a call from Upton who reminded her, “Boss,
the woman from the Linsey Group is still in the elevator of the LC Group.”
Without Upton’s reminder, Cecelia might not have remembered this. She replied, “Just let her get out!”
Cecelia believed that after a full day of isolation Ophelia should have tasted the extreme desperation.
Ophelia was indeed close to despair. The elevator she took was stuck on the 25th floor. At first, it was
hot and smelly inside the elevator. She felt so hot that she stripped naked, but she still felt
uncomfortable. Later in the afternoon, by hand, she felt cold and hungry. The cold air from the air
conditioner was almost freezing her. Just when she was on the verge of despairing, thinking she was
going to die here, the elevator finally resumed operation. When she štepped out of the elevator, she felt
as if she was a walking dead. She walked out shivering and found that everyone in this building was off
duty now.
Ophelia just couldn’t figure out why all this had happened to her today. Why?

Back at the Aroma Villa.
Cecelia took her son upstairs and met Remington in the Master Bedroom.
“Miss Linsey is back.”
Fredric reminded Remington.
At this point, Maximus looked curiously toward the bed. Was that man his unlucky father who had been
in a car accident and almost turned into a vegetative state?
Cecelia walked up to the man and took a glance at him, asking, “I heard that you didn’t have lunch
today.”
To be precise, he wanted to eat her food instead of someone else’s cooking. However, instead of
getting her back, he got a message about her dating a handsome young man at a restaurant. Then he
lost his appetite because he was angry.
Remington replied in a bad tone and with a gloomy face, “I may die of starvation. Then I might do you a
favor!”
His words brought the room into an awkward atmosphere.

She could feel his anger. Was he angry because he was hungry?

Or, was he deliberately making things difficult for her now because. of her poor attitude last night?
Maximus’ handsome little face fell as he frowned.
His mother was the best, the most beautiful, and the most adorable mother in the world. She was his
and his brother’s precious girl! Why did his biological father treat his mother so badly?
